A: Having the file on a memory stick, or flash drive, should make this easier. What you'll need to do is download a free program called Recuva on this page.
On the left, download the free version, from piriform.com. Once downloaded, install the Recuva program. Then run the program once it's installed.
When it asks what you want to scan, select the E drive, and do a "deep scan" for all files. This may take about half an hour, depending on how big your flash drive was.
Once complete, you should see all copies of files you have deleted in the last 3-6 months, maybe longer. Now it's just a matter of picking the files that matched your name and restoring them. This should help you find your file.
