(by Lori Jones)
T’was the night before Christmas
And tickets were slow.
The mod sat and stared
at the screen all aglow.
Where are the customers
who always need me?
Are they home with their families?
Could that be the key?
And where are the Experts
Who always give me grief?
Is this my Christmas gift?
Have they turned over a new leaf?
The lonely mod played poorly with rhymes
Then looked out the window at the shivering pines.
A glance at the clock and she turned with a start!
She’d soon be off work, and done playing her part!
Two more hours to go, and then it’s eggnog for me.
I’ll watch Christmas Vacation; I’ll be laughing with glee.
The kiddies will open the stockings and stuff.
Milo gets his and there will be a “ruff ruff!”
Here’s hoping it’s quiet for the mod who comes next
And that the Experts and customers don’t make her perplexed
It’s been a good Christmas Eve, though I’ve worked all the day.
But I work for JustAnswer, and I’d have that no other way.
So Lindie will be here
Once I get out of sight.
Take it easy on her
As you’ve done for me tonight
Merry Christmas!
